* Seen wild food and foraging on the television?
* Do you want to be taught what you can eat and how to prepare it?
Spring Greens Course – Saturday 10th April – Aldbourne. 9:15 am – 5:00 pm.
Spring is the time of new growth and the countryside offers a wealth of delicious free greens – be they salad leaves, wild vegetables or herbs. There are also some edible flowers, roots and a few fungi to be found. With a little know-how these can all be gathered to give salads, soups, sauces, desserts and many other dishes. They can also be ingredients in teas, beer and other alcoholic drinks.
This introductory course combines:
* A foraging walk for spring greens.
* An indoor session preparing, cooking and eating a three-course lunch based on our finds
* An illustrated talk on wild foods.
The course covers safety and legal aspects. Foraging walks locate a range of seasonal wild food and discuss their identification and uses. Participants receive extensive handouts and get access to on-line materials.
Cost £50 / person.

I have a small number of places available on this course. Readers of this forum can take up a "last minute" offer of a place for £35 (normally £50).
